When I tutor, I believe that I am not only laying the foundation for a student's future academic success, but also laying the foundation for the future success of our society as a whole. Students are our future, and by impacting one student's life as a tutor, I am ensuring that our future holds promise. I hold a bachelor's degree in economics from Berea College, and a master's degree in public administration from UNC Charlotte. In terms of teaching experience, I was an economics teacher's assistant at Berea College, a high school tutor through the Swan Learning Center, and a freelance private tutor for numerous middle school and high school students. Additionally, I have worked as an online tutor for college level economics and algebra. I have also had great success in tutoring grad school students in the advanced concepts of statistics. I am capable of raising my student's grades up two levels, and have done so many times in the past. I devote my attention fully toward each student when I tutor, and I carefully go over any mistakes or areas they don't understand. I go above and beyond with my students, doing ample research outside of tutoring sessions to figure out the best way to teach certain subjects. When I'm not tutoring, I enjoy playing the saxophone, juggling, dancing, and singing.
